Both the City X and Jazz X will be priced at RM86,100 and RM82,500 (both on-the-road with insurance) respectively. The X editions are available in limited units and colours. Four hundred and fifty units of the City X are offered in Modern Steel Metallic and Dark Ruby Red Pearl colours, while 300 units of Jazz X will be offered in Modern Steel Metallic and Carnival Red colours.
Both editions carry the X emblem to set themselves apart from the standard cars. Additional features such as daytime running lights are made available for the X editions to highlight their appearance. Both are fitted with half-leather seats that carry the X emblem that are said to provide extra comfort for driver and passengers. The X editions also come with trunk tray.
The City and Jazz are certified "Energy Efficient Vehicles", which make them eligible for tax perks. Both models contribute 50% of total sales for Honda Malaysia in 2016.
Since its launch in 2014, around 87,000 units of City and over 34,000 units of Jazz have been sold as at July. Both models continue to lead in their respective segment.
The X editions are powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine paired with a Continuous Variable Transmission that was developed under Honda’s proprietary Earth Dreams Technology which promises smooth acceleration and improved fuel efficiency.
The Jazz X features the signature Ultra Seats, which can be flipped into four different modes, while the City X boasts a 536-litre boot space, the biggest in its segment. The X editions maintain all the other features offered in the City and Jazz such as Smart Entry and Push Start Button, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Stop Signal and USB ports and power sockets.
The X editions are backed by a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage, extended service interval of 10,000km and six free labour services alternating with paid service until 100,000km.
