PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia is recalling 87,182 units of vehicles that includes the City, Civic, CR-V, Jazz and Stream.
The exercise is to replace faulty driver and passenger airbag inflators.
The affected vehicles are the City (2003-2008 year model), Civic (2003-2008), CR-V (2002-2007), Jazz (2004-2006) and Stream (2004-2005).
Honda Malaysia is urging affected owners to get their vehicles checked at any authorised Honda dealers as soon as possible.
Work will be carried out once replacement parts are ready and all rectification costs will be borne by Honda Malaysia.
Vehicle owners can also check their vehicle’s product update status by calling Honda’s Toll Free number 1-800-88-2020 or visit any authorised Honda dealer.
The recall or "precautionary exercise" do not affect Honda’s current models.
