SEOUL: Korean singer-actor Lee Jun-young proves that he’s a responsible citizen when he helped the police to catch a drunk driver recently.

A Korean news portal reported that the 24-year-old star had followed a car for one hour, after suspecting it was driven by a drunk person.

The member of K-pop group U-Kiss spotted the car on the night of Aug 25 as he was heading home after practice.

Although Lee alerted the police with a phone call, he continued to tail the vehicle to ensure the police knew the suspect’s location. This eventually led to the driver’s arrest.

According to the report, a footage from Lee’s dashcam had the singer informing the police by saying: “The driver in front of me seems drunk. The car is moving in a zigzag manner.”

Allowing the police to track his phone, Lee kept the communication line with the police open. Later, he handed the recording on his dashcam to the authorities and cooperated with the investigation.

The idol – who’s also known as Jun – joined as a new member of U-Kiss in 2017.

Also an actor, Lee was recently seen in the K-drama Please Don’t Date Him. He also makes an appearance in one of the episodes of D.P.

Next up, he is set to star in the romance drama I Will Be Your Night, opposite actress Jun In-sun, in which he will be playing the leader of an idol group.
