KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Kia Malaysia has introduced the refreshed Optima EX priced at RM139,888 (on-the-road without insurance).
The Optima EX is the entry-level variant that joins the RM169,888 turbocharged Optima GT.
“The Optima EX with upgraded features makes a good addition to our Optima range with its bold style, performance and added feature and the Around View Monitor (AVM) system which is not found in the predecessor,” said Datuk Samson Anand

Powered by naturally aspirated Nu 2.0L CVVL engine, the Optima EX features a 6-speed automatic transmission for better fuel efficiency and improved driving dynamics.
The Optima EX engine makes 161hp and 196Nm of torque, while the Optima GT's 2.0 T-GDi powerplant doles out 242hp and 350Nm of torque.
Running on 17-inch alloy wheels, the Optima EX is fitted with new features such as LED headlamps, fog lamps and rear combination lamps.
Convenience come in the form of power memory for the driver seat, electric parking brake, smart key, push start button and a large 7.0-inch colour screen display, audio compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The AVM uses four cameras located at the front, rear, left and right of the car. This system provides the driver with a 360-degree view of his car’s surroundings, making parking manoeuvre easier.
The Optima EX is available in Aurora Black Pearl, Snow White Pearl and Platinum Graphite among others.
