With the order books just opened, deliveries will begin sometime in January, 2016, marking the compact sedan's entry into the B-segment market that's dominated by the Toyota Vios and Honda City.
It is estimated to cost (on-the-road inclusive of GST and insurance) around RM73,000 and will come with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage.

Under the hood lies a 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine, sipping from a 43-litre fuel tank, producing 108bhp at 6,300rpm and 137Nm of torque at 4,200rpm - all of which gets managed by a four-speed automatic gearbox before being sent to the front wheels.
The boot has 389-litres of respectable storage space and in addition, Naza Kia has also included a tyre pressure monitoring system, steering wheel audio controls for the six-speaker audio system with an 800MB onboard memmory for MP3 files as well as a full-sized alloy spare tyre.

Getting into the fabric-clad interior becomes effortless with the convenience of keyless entry and the entertainment system allows owners to connect to the audio system via USB and AUX ports or via bluetooth connectivity.

The Kia Rio sedan is available in five colour choices of Clear White, Bright SIlver, Deep BLue and Signal Red.
"With the sophisticated styling and its sleek urban character, I am sure the Rio Sedan will be able to penetrate into the growing potential of the B-segment market," said Naza Corporation Holdings group chief operating officer (Automotive Group) Datuk Samson Anand George.
