KLIMS'18: Leoncino250 among three Benellis coming

KUALA LUMPUR: MForce Bike Holdings unveiled the Benelli Leoncino250, TRK251 and 502C cruiser at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018 (KLIMS 18).

All three bikes use a 250cc in-line four-stroke twin-cylinder liquid cooled engine with four valves per cylinder and double overhead camshaft and is fed by a 21-litre fuel tank.

Power is rated 47.6hp at 8,500rpm and 45Nm at 5,000rpm. The engine is mated to a wet multi-plate clutch and a six-speed gearbox, electronic injection with double 37mm throttle bodies - all of which is found mounted within the trellis tube frame with steel plates.

The suspensions on the front consists of an upside-down fork with 41mm legs and 125mm of travel, while the back swinging arm with a centrally-mounted monoshock features an adjustable spring preload and a travel of 50mm.

Stopping power comes from the front double semi-floating 260mm discs and 240mm rear disc, with a four-piston caliper on the front and a single piston on the back.

Common on all three bikes are the 17-inch wheels, but depending on whether riders want the cruiser-type of the 502C (120/70 and 160/60), an enduro TRK251 (110/70 and 150/60) or the sporty naked appeal of the Leoncino250 (110/70 and 150/60), tyre sizes will differ.

The three bikes will be available in the second half of 2019.
