Japanese luxury car-maker Lexus has updated the looks and features of its Lexus ES mid-sized sedan for 2015, which comes in three variants - the ES 250 Premium, ES 250 Luxury and the ES 300h Hybrid.

The cosmetic changes to the ES include a re-designed front fascia featuring a much bolder spindle grille while the headlamps have been upgraded to LED (light emitting diodes) compared to the previous Halogen and HID type.

Both the headlamps and rear combination lamps look sharper now thanks to the L-shaped design.

The front fog lamp bezel now look sleeker too with a vertical design compared to the round shape earlier.

The wheels offered now are completely new designs with a more aggressive nature to it.

And the dual exhaust pipes now comes with a more distinguished diamond shape, ditching the safe circular shape before.

The interior has been slightly updated as well with a more elegantly designed steering wheel which consists of birdseye maple and leather.

The multi-information display (MID) on the instrument panel has been bumped up to 4.2-inch compared to the earlier 3.5-inch.

The shift lever too has undergone some changes as it now made of leather and chrome with a leather boot instead of the pervious skinny-looking lever which featured leather and wood accents.

The new ES also features a more quieter and premium-feeling cabin.

The quilted upholstery too has a refreshed and luxurious look thanks to its new and meticulous stitching pattern.

The Luxury and Hybrid variants now come with Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert while Hill-Start Assist Control comes standard across the line-up.

Pricing (on-the-road without insurance) starts at RM259,200 for the ES 250 Premium; RM278,600 (ES 250 Luxury) and RM355,100 (ES 300h).
