KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Malaysia has introduced a limited edition Jetta, with only 1,000 units being made available with sporty aesthetic upgrades and a new multimedia head unit with navigation.

The limited edition Jetta is available in two variants, both of which have a limited run of 500 units each.

It starts with the Club Edition that’s priced at RM122,888 and gets equipped with window tint and a multimedia navigation head unit, specifically the Blaupunkt Philadelphia 835 (PA835) unit with navigation maps from Garmin.

The Sport Edition may cost an additional RM10,000, but adds to the Club Edition’s equipment with a set of Silex 17-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 series Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyres and a Zubehör Aerokit that comprises of a front lip, side skirts, rear skirts and a rear boot lid spoiler.

However, the body kit is available for purchase and costs RM14,000, which includes spraying and labour charges.

Unfortunately, paddle shifters that was once seen in the CBU Jetta have yet to resurface and a reverse camera still remains off the list of standard equipment even though the PA835 unit is ready for it.

“The Jetta Limited Edition, which comes with 6 airbags and a complete makeover, proves to be a perfect blend of form and function,” said Volkswagen Malaysia managing director Armin Keller.
