The options pay tribute to McLaren's achievement of winning motorsport's unofficial "Triple Crown" - victories in the Indianapolis 500, Monaco Grand Prix, and 24 Hours of Le Mans. The options are available on the GT, Artura, and the all-new 750S supercar.
The Triple Crown achievement was completed in 1995, 21 years after McLaren's first victory in the Indianapolis 500 in 1974. The Monaco Grand Prix win followed in 1984.
To honour these victories, McLaren is offering three exterior paint colors: Indy Orange, Monaco White, and Le Mans Grey. Each color represents one of the winning cars. In addition, Triple Crown Stripes can be added to the 750S models, with a McLaren Triple Crown logo at the front and individual years of victory at the rear.
Other exterior enhancements include two new brake caliper colours: Indy Blue and Le Mans Gold. These colours are inspired by the Indianapolis 500 and the McLaren F1 GTR, respectively. Gloss carbon fibre door mirrors can also be specified with a 60th Anniversary "Speedy Kiwi" logo in Orange or Silver.
Inside the cars, there are several 60th Anniversary options. The steering wheel centre line marker can be painted in Indy Orange, and extended carbon fibre painted gearshift paddles with stripes in the McLaren Triple Crown colors are available.
All cars ordered with 60th Anniversary options will come with a brushed aluminum dedication plaque featuring a 60th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. The plaque will also have a "1 of 60" marking for the 750S models with Triple Crown Stripes.
The McLaren 60th Anniversary options will be available to order for a year starting this month. Customers can find more details on the McLaren website or at a McLaren retailer.
