STUTTGART: The Mercedes-Benz GLA is due for a mid-life refresh and the model is set for a Detroit auto show debut on Jan 9.
Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser image that shows a tweaked front that has revised grille, bumper and new fog lights. The rear and the cabin are expected to see a raft of changes in order to qualify as a facelifted model.
It won't be surprising if new bodycolours and new alloy wheel designs are part of the mix.
The GLA is powered by four-cylinder 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre engines with turbocharging and direct injection, with ECO start/stop function as standard. Outputs range from 108hp to 360hp for the AMG variant. There's a choice of petrol and diesel GLAs and all-wheel drive is optionally available.
The GLA is the first Mercedes-Benz SUV to get 4MATIC all-wheel drive, with fully variable torque distribution.
