MALACCA: The Malacca branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry will investigate allegations on social media about a faulty diesel-dispensing diesel pump.
Its director, Jaiya Abu, said an officer had been directed to investigate the authenticity of the video uploaded on Facebook.
On Wednesday, a 27-second long video uploaded by Facebook user Vince Leng went viral, claiming that no fuel was being dispensed after pressing the trigger on the nozzle, but the reading on the pump meter showed otherwise.
It is understood that Leng had gone to the counter at the petrol station at Taman Merdeka here to get an explanation from the owner but the matter has not been resolved.
In the comments, other Facebook account users said that a petrol station from the same company was having similar problems in Bemban, Jasin near here.
