The company will offer a 40% discount on spare parts and labour prices until Dec 31 for vehicles damaged by floods. Only vehicles that were bought from Mitsubishi dealers qualify.
“We hope our flood relief effort will help ease the burden of our customers through this
difficult period. Our prayers and best wishes go out to them and their families," said Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia CEO Tomoyuki Shinnishi.
Mitsubishi said it would also offer free towing for vehicles stuck in the floods to the nearest Mitsubishi service centre. Customers need to lodge a police report and call Mitsubishi support at 1-800- 88-2166 or 03-7803 1566 to get the free towing service.
Toyota, Nissan, Perodua, Naza Kia Malaysia and Volkswagen have also extended similar help to the flood victims in Penang.
