KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia, is back to offer K-pop fans another exciting Blackpink experience.
The seven-week nationwide roadshow, as part of the global contest - Kia BLACKPINK WANNA BE, will be searching for two of Malaysia’s biggest "Blink" fans to treat on an all-expense-paid trip to Seoul, South Korea to meet the Korean super girl group.
The grand prize comes inclusive of accommodation, flight tickets, Seoul city tour and "meet-and-greet" passes to an exclusive "by-invitation-only" Kia Special Party at Kia BEAT360.
The lucky winners will also get to attend the Melon Music Awards 2019 and a Korean culture class to experience the ‘Korean wave’ from the country's oldest traditions to the latest K-pop hit.
The roadshow has already made a stop in Penang and will be heading South to Johor Baru on Oct 5, followed by Melaka on Oct 12 and Selangor on Nov 16.
The best five "Blinks" will be picked from each roadshow venue for their lip-sync performance and impersonation of the group.
Of the 20 "Blinks", the semi-final will only allow for five finalists to enter the grand finals which will be held on Nov 17 at Sunway Pyramid in Bandar Sunway.
To enter, a video recording of the participant is required and must include dressing, singing and dancing as one of the members of Blackpink before posting it up on Facebook or Instagram.
The online posting must be accompanied with the hashtags #KIAMalaysiaBLACKPINK, #KIABLACKPINKWANNABE, #KiaOnBeat as well as one of the upcoming regional competition locations - eg. #PENANG
Also, the social media page must be set to ‘Public’ and a link sent to https://bit.ly/BLACKPINKContestForm.
The collaboration between Kia Motors Corporation and Blackpink marks the first of many K-pop collaborations to be announced this year by the South Korean automotive manufacturer.
