Mercedes-Benz is offering a customisation option that enables the AMG emblem to be projected onto the ground whenever the front doors are opened. It looks high-tech and undoubtedly cool.
It's a follow-up to what it had done to the GLE 400 which was factory fitted with the lighting feature that projected the Mercedes logo onto the ground.
In the latest evolution of the idea, the AMG emblem is projected into the entry area in 3D with the help of the entrance lighting mechanism at the bottom of the door.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the retrofit is simple. Authorised technicians can assemble the AMG emblem LED projector in minutes by replacing the factory-installed entrance lighting at the bottom of the front doors. The LED projector uses little power and has a long service life.
The LED Projector AMG Emblem option is available at Mercedes-Benz sales partners for numerous vehicle models from A-Class to GLS in combination with the corresponding door lighting packages. There is also an LED Projector Mercedes-Benz Emblem as well.
The Illuminated Mercedes Star available for many lines from the original-parts program is also an eye-catcher. The outline of the Mercedes star centred in the radiator grille illuminates by means of the light conductors as well as LED technology, adding a special look to many Mercedes-Benz models.
