KUALA LUMPUR: The latest Citroen DS5 has landed and the brand's flagship model is sporting more goodies and new styling cues.

Priced on-the-road with GST and insurance at RM198,888, the new DS5 comes in five colour options of Artense Grey, Noir Perla Nera, Bleu Encre, Pearl White and Whisper Purple.

It is also accompanied by a five-year or 120,000km (whichever comes first) warranty along with a 24-hour Roadside Assistance service as well as exclusive access to the Sky Lounge at Subang Airport - courtesy of Naza.

Under the hood lies a 1.6–litre turbocharged engine with direct injection, mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, that produces 165PS at 6,000rpm and 240Nm of torque, while fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 5.9 litres per 100km  and CO2 emissions at 135g/km.

Externally, all Citroen badges have been removed in an attempt to establish itself as a new stand-alone brand.

The refreshed DS5 now sports a new front fascia with a chrome hexagonal frame grille with the DS monogramme in the centre, while flanked by xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Inside, there's that driver-centric aviation-inspired cockpit style that's being made available in Sand Beige or a new Basalt Black colour for the leather upholstery as well as a new colour touchdrive interface with Mirror Screen that lets users mirror smartphone content onto the screen.

There's also the six-speaker (with boot-mounted subwoofer) Denon Hi-Fi audio system with a USB/iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

Other features include a colour heads-up display on a transparent blade, keyless entry with push-start button, electric front seats with memory
function and an electric parking brake.

The new DS5 also comes with an 18” alloy rims, automatic headlights and wipers and external mirrors with integrate turn signals.

As for safety, there's six airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability program (ESP), emergency brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution and dynamic stability control.
