KUALA LUMPUR: The much-awed premium custom-made motorcycles from Zero Engineering has arrived in Malaysia.

Dubbed “The Original Samurai Chopper,” the Zero Style, founded by famed custom bike-builder Shinya Kimura from Okazaki, Japan, features vintage, old school style design with rigid frames.

The company presented three models — the Type-5, Type-6 and Type-9i — at the unveiling ceremony at Bon Estates sales gallery here recently.

The three motorcycles are characterised by their minimal amount of decoration and attention to detail.

Each model has a well-defined design concept with styling cues from the ’60s and ’70s but delivering modern reliability and performance.

Being hand-built, Zero motorcycles takes several months to complete, thus limiting production numbers.

The Type-5 is priced at RM180,000 (before GST) while Type-6 and Type-9i cost RM200,000 (before GST).

Among the high-profile owners of Zero motorcycles are Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and English soccer star David Beckham.

The exclusive distributor of Zero Engineering motorcycles in Malaysia is Didi Resources and Stronghold Cycles is the appointed dealer.

Zero Engineering’s flagship 3S centre would open its doors at The Gasket Alley in Section 13, Petaling Jaya.

The Gasket Alley would house several motorcycle brands, apparels and gears, a cafe and a working space for the motorcycle community.
