Perodua Global produced 250,000 vehicle since August 2014

RAWANG: Perodua Global Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, the advanced manufacturing arm under the Perodua group, has rolled out its 250,000th vehicle recently since it began operations in August 2014.

Of the 250,000 units produced, 85% was the Axia and 15% was the Bezza. Bezza production only began from June this year.

Perodua sold 167,000 vehicles for the first 10 months of 2016, of which the Axia was the bestseller with 44.2% sold this year followed by the Myvi at 24.9%, Alza 17.3% and the Bezza at 13.6%.

On Perodua’s latest model, Perodua has delivered over 22,000 Bezzas since its launch in July and the average waiting period for the is less than two weeks subject to and following bank approval of the hire purchase loan.

“This is a historical accomplishment for the entire group; the Perodua Global team has worked hard to ensure that our customers’ orders are met in an acceptable timeframe,” said Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.

Aminar said Perodua is maximising delivery of all its products as part of the compact carmaker’s pledge to ensure speedy delivery of cars to customers.

The car maker is currently having promotions at its showrooms as part of its year-end sales.
