PETALING JAYA: Interested in earning additional Petron Miles Point without driving? Now there is an easy and rewarding way to do it. All one needs to do is walk to stay active and healthy.

Walk a minimum of 3,000 steps and up to 10,000 steps through bookdoc App to accumulate Petron Miles Points, tiered at bronze, silver, gold and platinum level, said bookdoc’s founder and chief executive officer Datuk Chevy Beh.

"To redeem the points via the app, users need to pump at least RM50 worth of petrol at any of the 650 Petron stations nationwide. The redemption is from RM2 up to RM15,” he said after the collaboration agreement signing between bookdoc and Petron Malaysia at Menara OBYU on Thursday.

At the signing both parties also announced a Petron Virtual Run Challenge to be held from Aug 25 to Sept 7 where participants could also accumulate points using the app.

Beh is confident that 10,000 runners will take part in the run.

"Registration starts from today and the top 100 participants who achieve the most number of steps will be rewarded RM50 worth of Petron Miles points,” he said.

Currently, bookdoc operates in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Thailand and over 40,000 healthcare professionals have registered with bookdoc.

bookdoc has been collaborating with more than 100 reward partners and the rewards are redeemable in over 1,600 offline and online locations in 12 countries.

Meanwhile Petron Malaysia’s Retail and Commercial Business head, Choong Kum Choy said the collaboration with bookdoc as its new Activ Reward Partner would provide customers with more benefits.
