The Euro 5 diesel contains extremely low sulphur content of 10ppm (parts per million) and the high performance fuel allows diesel drivers to experience maximum performance from their engines with greater fuel economy and engine protection.

The improved chemistries in the Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 works best in vehicles with Euro 5-compliant diesel engines by eliminating sulphur build up which may cause damage over the long term.
However, non-compliant Euro 5 diesel vehicles will also be able to enjoy the new Petronas Euro 5 diesel.
"Unlike petrol engines which are dependent on the RON rating, diesel engines are able to use the new Euro 5 fuel," said Petronas manager of Fuel Technology Oil Business, Chan Ming-Yau.
Petronas partnered with Iveco and De Rooy for the Dakar Rally for the last five years and had the opportunity to study the performance of the Powerstar trucks, which run on the latest common-rail direct injection engines used in 4x4 pickups and passenger cars, to refine the Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 fuel technology.
Currently the new Euro 5 diesel is available at selected petrol stations in Federal Territory, Selangor, Johor, Negri Sembilan and Pahang.
Petronas will be expanding the availability of the Euro 5 diesel to 50 stations in the Peninsular by the end of the year and will cover major highways going in and out of the Klang Valley and certain locations in the southern region to cater to Malaysian vehicles entering Singapore.
