LONDON: Peugeot UK is turning a crisis into an opportunity by touting the fact it has been selling cars online for the past three years.
In 2019, an average of 186,000 customers visited the Peugeot Buy Online platform and produced 47,000 configurations with unique quotes each month.
Customers who place an order can opt for a safe vehicle home delivery, with new protocols in place to protect the health and well-being of both the delivery driver and the customer.
These protocols include: use of protective covers for the steering wheel, gear stick, seat and floor mats, control panel and steering wheel to be disinfected upon delivery and the delivery driver will wear gloves, mask and safety glasses.
David Peel, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “We want to reassure our customers that Peugeot is here to cater for their needs. If they need a new car, there is no need to wait for showrooms to reopen, they can visit Peugeot Buy Online.”
