PETALING JAYA: The holy month of Ramadan sees Volvo Car Malaysia pledging its support for social distancing via an online pledge campaign, to further reinforce the government’s mandated Movement Control Order (MCO).
Through the Ramadan Safe Pledge campaign, Volvo Car Malaysia will reward Malaysians who pledge to maintain social distancing with RM10 GrabFood vouchers.
The campaign runs from May 4 to May 23, 2020, from 10am to 3pm daily, and will be hosted on Volvo Ramadan Safe Pledge Campaign microsite, with the pledge being posted by participants on Instagram.
For a period of 20 days, Volvo Car Malaysia will give out 10,000 vouchers worth RM100,000.
To participate all you need to do is demonstrate solidarity by reposting on Instagram, one of five different images found on the Volvo Ramadan Safe Pledge Campaign microsite.
Alternatively, the pledge can be done directly through Volvo Car Malaysia’s Instagram page by clicking on the link in the bio or through its Instagram Stories.
All postings will need to tag @VolvoCarMalaysia, accompanied by the hashtag #MYVolvoSafePledge.
The vouchers will be emailed directly to successful participants via the email address used to sign the pledge. Each voucher has a validity of six months and successful participants are selected daily, on a “first-pledge-first-repost” basis.
Every Instagram account can only participate once. Volvo Car Malaysia will select the first 500 entries per day, and throughout the 20-day campaign period, will give out 10,000 vouchers.
Nalin Jain, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia said: “The Ramadan Safe Pledge campaign provides a platform for Malaysians to reinforce their ‘stay at home’ commitment. Each chosen pledge will be rewarded with a voucher.
"We hope that the daily 500 vouchers we give out will enable as many individuals as possible to purchase necessities such as food and groceries, from the safety of their homes. This campaign truly echoes our ethos and enables us to humbly contribute to the community. We also would like to take this opportunity to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed Ramadan.”
In conjunction with Hari Raya, Volvo Car Malaysia will be rolling out special offers from now to June 30, 2020. Volvo Car Malaysia is offering a five-year maintenance service package (VSA5+) for new owners and all car models.
Also, Volvo Car Malaysia will be giving Recharge package for selected models worth up to RM30,888 and a Hager Wallbox for selected PHEV variants worth up to RM8,000. In addition, any bookings done online will receive a complimentary Polestar Optimisation package worth RM5,250.
