Orders are now accepted at all authorised Nissan showrooms nationwide with first deliveries to start next month.
Prices in Peninsular Malaysia without insurance but inclusive of sales tax are estimated at:
> Serena S-Hybrid Highway Star - below RM150,000
> Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star - below RM165,000
The seven-seater Serena S-Hybrid was among the first hybrid models to be assembled in Malaysia and is still the only locally-assembled hybrid multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
ETCM encourages customers to make their booking early (minimum amount of RM1,000) to secure a booking in the system.
The company says it will also help the assembly plant to schedule production more accurately and minimise waiting time as disruptions continue due to semiconductor microprocessor shortages and global shipment delays.
Depending on the variants, the new Serena S-Hybrid comes in four colour choices.
For the ‘early birds’ making bookings, ETCM will be providing a special package of:
> Five free Maintenance Services (inclusive of parts & labour) at alternate intervals of 10,000km, 30,000km, 50,000km, 70,000km and 90,000km,
> Warranty period will also be up to five years with unlimited mileage.
Asides from the premium styling and new safety technologies, the new Serena S-Hybrid continues with thoughtful convenience features such as a dual back door, hands-free dual power sliding doors on both sides, and up to seven USB ports.
The spacious interior has a versatile 13 Seating Configuration with Captain Seats on the second row equipped with individual armrests and extra-long slide adjustment.
Front passengers and those in the second row enjoy fatigue-free comfort in the Zero Gravity Seats.
Combination Nappa leather upholstery is also used to provide better comfort and premium feel.
Included are the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) which features a suite of advanced technologies such as Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Forward Collision Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Also included is Nissan’s renowned Around View Monitor (360 camera) as standard equipment.
Powering the new Serena S-Hybrid is a 2.0-litre Twin CVTC hybrid drivetrain that comes with an ECO (Energy Control Motor) electric motor to provide torque assistance at take-off to reduce demands on the petrol engine and improve fuel efficiency.
Details will be announced closer to the launch date early next month.
