HELSINKI: Festival-goers in Finland will be able to pay for their taxi fare by tapping into their inner James Corden and singing for their ride.
In a riff off late night talk show host James Corden's popular segment "Carpool Karaoke," in which Corden chauffeurs stars around town, singing along "to the radio," the Fortum Singalong Shuttle invites festival-goers to hitch a free ride in exchange for no-holds barred 'caraoke.'
Cars are equipped with a sound level meter and passengers can choose the songs they want to sing via a tablet that will also provide the lyrics.
And because the cars are electric, passengers won't be competing with noisy engines and background emissions.
The carpool karaoke service will be available throughout the 49th Ruisrock Festival in Turku, Finland — the oldest rock festival in Finland, which attracts 100,000 visitors every year.
This year's festival is headlined by acts like Pharrell Williams and The Chainsmokers, and runs July 6 to 8.
