STUTTGART: The second-generation Porsche Panamera will be unveiled in Berlin on June 28.

For now, Porsche has begun to drum up the buzz with a teaser video and a heavy dose of marketing-speak that says a lot without giving too much away.

The German car maker said its engineers and designers have come up with a sports car that could be driven every day and integrates the comfort of a luxury sedan. Its body would be reshaped in such a way that it would be “like a sprinter in the starting blocks… waiting to show exactly what it is capable of”. It’s going to look sportier and will have sleeker tail lights.

Typical of a generational change is an engine that will offer more power yet is more fuel efficient than before.

Porsche also declared that the new Panamera would have racing features such as Launch Control, rear axle steering and a sport exhaust system.

To keep up with the competition, the new 4-seater will include Porsche Connect Plus featuring intelligent, digital functions and are networked to the digital world.

More details will follow at the Berlin debut.
