Singapore store latest in worldwide expansion of BMW M

SINGAPORE: BMW M is on a roll. In the last four years, the number of M certified dealers has doubled worldwide to 850 businesses.

The latest example of this is the exclusive location “Performance Munich Autos” here, where M and M Performance models are offered in addition to M specific workshop services.

With a total area of 4,500 square feet, the new showroom showcases M models and two M Performance models. An Individual Lounge has been integrated where customers have the possibility to individualise their cars. The area is equipped with samples of colours, applications and leather upholstery for easy reference.

There is also a Delivery Suite where cars are handed to customers.

The Singapore M dealership features high-class furnishings, exclusively equipped vehicles and digital communication sales tools such as the Virtual Product Presentation (VPP).

Vehicle configuration are done through a tablet-based M Mobile Customiser App with the help of a BMW salesman. The Mobile Customiser enables vehicle configurations to be transferred wirelessly onto a high-definition display in a highly realistic and detailed representation – including colours, equipment options and packages for the specific M or M Performance model.

BMW said the M showroom here is the template on which more M outlets would be based on as it celebrates its 45th anniversary.

The M sub-brand saw a record year in 2016 with sales of 67,900 vehicles. "Up until the end of November 2017, BMW M sold significantly more M and M Performance models than during the entire business year 2016. By the end of the decade, we will exceed the mark of 100,000 vehicle sold,” said Peter Quintus, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BMW M here.
