SOCAR adds more pickup venues in Penang and Johor Baru

KUALA LUMPUR: With the restrictions on interstate travel lifted, car-sharing app SOCAR has expanded its coverage area in Penang and Johor Baru.

The SOCAR app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free.

The company's SOCAR-2-YOU - a door-to-door delivery service, was only previously available in Bayan Lepas for
Penang and Johor Baru City Centre for Johor Baru.

Now, the services have been extended to include Butterworth, Bukit Mertajam, Johor Jaya and Nusajaya.

However, if this service isn't to your liking, there's always the company's other promotions such as After Work Commute.

This is where subscribers can enjoy a drive from RM40 a day when booking a SOCAR from Mondays to Thursdays (5.00pm to 9.00pm) and return the next morning before 9.00am.

The promotion is only available until July 31 and is meant for 12-hour bookings (applicable for all cars except for BMW and the Mini Cooper) and is great for those requiring a car for after-work errands

- DAYPASS allows users to book their drive and enjoy 30% off (capped at RM100) and is only applicable for bookings made for a minimum of 12 hours which allows for over 240km of free mileage and is Only available until Sept 30.

“This expansion makes it easier for SOCAR members in Penang and Johor to live out their own cuti-cuti Malaysia dreams. They no longer need to worry about their closest SOCAR of choice getting booked up and having to make that extra journey to pick up their car- just a few taps on their phone serves up a ride at their doorstep," said SOCAR Malaysia CEO Leon Foong.
