PETALING JAYA: Scouring the web for exciting automotive rumours has led us to Australia where a Toyota Australia spokesperson said that "There’s no reason Land Cruiser or Hilux couldn’t have GR models... and we’ve trademarked (GR Hilux)."
The quote was taken from Australia's Carsales and reported by Motoring.
GR stands for Gazoo Racing, with the Gazoo part of the name meaning "garage." It is yet another performance offshoot from Toyota.
Toyota has plans for introducing a GR variant for a wide range of its model line-up and has already launched the GR Yaris and GR Supra among others.
