Toyota picks Finnish company to develop new instrument cluster graphics for future models
By CARSIFU | 26 October 2023
NAGOYA: Toyota has selected Kanzi One HMI software, developed by Finnish company Rightware, for the design and development of in-vehicle experiences for its global models of the Toyota and Lexus brands.
Rightware said in a statement that the combination of Kanzi One and its team of developers would provide Toyota with the flexibility and design capabilities to enhance its brand and "provide a delightful experience for drivers".
Rightware said Kanzi One would enable the world's biggest automaker to achieve optimal graphics performance on cost-effective hardware platforms.
The software would allow Toyota to create and maintain distinct user interface (UI) modules, enabling it to mix and match them to create instrument clusters for different vehicle variants and models across diverse markets.
This workflow promises to reduce effort and speeds up time-to-market.
Rightware, a provider of automotive graphics software, said its Kanzi One is used by over 50 automotive brands.
