SHAH ALAM: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has introduced the new Triton Quest low-rider that is said to be the most affordable pick-up truck in the local market.

Priced at RM79,890, the Triton Quest comes with the "Dynamic Shield" styling and is offered with a five-year or 100,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.

Meant to be a tough and versatile workhorse with a "sedan" appearance, the Triton Quest's cargo area is low and this makes for easy loading of heavy items.

The Triton Quest also has a rear seat secret storage compartment that is easy-to-reach yet concealed from prying eyes.

The vehicle can carry up to 970kg load inclusive of passengers, and has the biggest cargo deck in the low rider category.

Its functional J-Line cabin design gives more room and comfort for rear passengers while retaining a spacious cargo area.

Powered by 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine that delivers 110PS and 200Nm of torque, the Triton Quest promises more than enough performance and efficiency needed by its users.

The vehicle also has the best-in-class turning radius of 5.7m, making it easier to handle and drive on narrow roads and crowded working sites.

Features include seatbelts with pretentioners, Electronic Time and Alarm Control System (ETACS) which comes with Lane Change Turn Signal System, power window timer, headlamp auto off function, open door alarm, auto door relock system, auto speed adjustable wipers and a 15-second interior light switch-off delay.

In addition to the Mitsubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction, the Triton Quest also comes equipped with dual SRS airbags and anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution.

Its Multi-Information Display can also present useful data such as mileage range traveled, service reminder, fuel range and average fuel consumption.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has upgraded the Triton Adventure X with an all-round monitor that uses multiple cameras around the vehicle to create a bird’s-eye-view to aid parking and maneuvering.

The Triton Adventure X also gets a Driving Video Recorder (DVR), sporty side body stickers and premium solar/security tint.

Like the Triton Adventure X, the Triton AT Premium is also upgraded and now gets DVR, leather seats and 7-inch touchscreen audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready as standard.

The Triton range in Malaysia is available in a choice of six variants and four colours.
