2020 Bangkok Motor Show to proceed on July 15-26

BANGKOK: The 41st Bangkok International Motor Show will be held from July 15 till 26, 2020 at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Maung Thong Thani.

Opening hours are from noon till 10pm on weekdays, and 11am till 10pm on weekends and public holidays. The ticket price is 100 baht (around RM14).

The motor show was originally scheduled to take place from March 25 to April 5, but had to be postponed because of the Covid-19  outbreak.

The motor show's organiser, Grand Prix International Public Company Limited, said  the event would observe sanitisation and hygiene measures, and conform with government health regulations.

“The 41st Bangkok International Motor Show is organised under the theme Inspiration Unlocks The Future which reflects the current world where countless ideas are created to unfold a story of success, and inspiration is discovered to take the first step to pave the road to success,” said Grand Prix International CEO and the motor show's chairman Dr Prachin Eamlumnow.

“IMPACT Muang Thong Thani as the venue owner has specified strict measures in line with the government regulations by arranging the scanning points for the Thai Chana application and the body temperature check, and purchasing the Germ Saber UVC; the ultraviolet sterilization robot for the additional venue cleaning. Also, Grand Prix International Public Company Limited as the organizer strengthens the confidence of visitors by setting up another screening point before entering the exhibition hall, employing an eye temperature scanner, which is accurate and meets the international standard, used in the airports of various countries across the world,” said Jaturont.

Jaturont also pointed out that the main gangway width is increased from 6m to 10m, and the alley between each booth is increased from 3m to 6m.

Also, the loading area behind the Challenger 2 hall would have a capacity of 3,000 to 5,000 seats to accommodate customers in closing a deal, and to handle various transactions and business talk.

Grand Prix International would also hold a virtual motor show that simulates the atmosphere of the 41st Bangkok International Motor Show.

It also features an e-Catalogue that comes together with a chat system for communicating interactively with the sales staff, for those who want to buy a car and receive the same promotions as in the motor show.

This is the first time that Thailand has a virtual motor show organised in parallel with the real show.
