By THE STAR | 13 February 2022PETALING JAYA: The online commercial vehicle licensing system (ISPKP) that will be rolled out by the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) this year will lead to a better customer experience, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He said that the new system, which will replace the existing licensing system, which is 20 years old, will make it easier for the public to deal with Apad in the future, he said in a statement on Facebook after visiting the APAD southern region office at Menara Cyberport Johor Baru on Saturday.
During his visit, he was briefed by the senior assistant director of the commercial licensing division Mohd Lutfi Ahmad on the operation of Apad southern region which also includes the states of Johor and Melaka.
"The Apad southern region office receives about 2,800 visitors and around 3,000 permit and license applications every month.
"I also had the opportunity to meet some visitors at this office and I found that on average, they are satisfied with the services provided."
He also reminded Apad to continue providing the best service to the public, especially to public transport operators as they are facing difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and are in need of support and assistance.
