MUNICH: German carmaker, BMW, will be revealing three new edition models as well as more standard and optional equipment for its sixth generation 3 Series sedan and touring (wagon) models in July.

The three new edition models are the Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition Luxury Line Purity and the Edition M Sport Shadow, which can be ordered with its existing equipment as well as all available types of engines.

Standard equipment for the sedan and Touring models will include LED headlights and LED fog lamps, while having a range of individual options and choice of body colours, light alloy wheels, upholstery colours and interior trim strips.

The Edition Sport Line Shadow will be equipped with black inserts for the headlight assemblies, rear light cluster, kidney grille, lower air ducts, black chrome exhaust tailpipes and Jet Black 18-inch double spoke wheels.

Inside, the cabin gets a new contrasting seam for the instrument panel, upgraded features for the instrument cluster, new sports steering wheel, fabric-leather combination sports seats and new Dark Aluminium Carbon inserts with accent strips in Pearl Gloss Chrome.

The Edition Luxury Line Purity, aimed at providing exclusivity and premium quality, get satin-finished aluminium inserts for the side windows, air duct inserts, slats, kidney grille surrounds, rear bumper cover, exhaust tailpipes and 17-inch wheels (optional 19-inch wheels also available).

Within its premium confines are leather trim in a new colour variant of Cognac, while the interior wood trim strips are in Fineline Light with Pearl Gloss Chrome accentuating strips.

Furthermore, it will be equipped with a sports steering wheel and additional display features for the instrument cluster.

As for the Edition M Sport Shadow, which is geared towards high-performance, it gets fitted with black LED headlamp units, dark taillight inserts, black BMW kidney grille, chrome black exhaust tailpipes, LED fog lamps and black inserts for the three-part lower air intake.

Other 'M' equipment have also been fitted, such as the sports suspension, aerodynamics package, 18-inch lightweight wheels, leather steering wheel, Anthracite roof lining, door sills and the Driving Experience Control which has SPORT+ mode.

As an option, a set of 19-inch double-spoke M light alloy wheels finished in Orbit Grey is also available.

Inside, the cabin gets fitted with black leather sports seats with blue contrasting seams while the interior is accented by Dark Aluminium Carbon and Pearl Gloss Chrome inserts to go along with the enhanced display functions of the instrument cluster.

But if those aren't enough, the Bavarian carmaker already has plans to include a new Sunset Orange to its current line up of colour choices, while making LED headlights and fog lamps standard equipment.
