PETALING JAYA: Clerk S. Nagakanni can heave a sigh of relief after Perodua decided to buy back her Bezza at full price.

She announced the good news on her Facebook page last night, which attracted over 2,800 comments and 5,000 shares, pointing to the high public interest that her case has drawn.

Thanking Perodua for a satisfactory solution, Nagakanni said the car company had also informed her that she need not continue to service her car loan and that she would be refunded whatever she had already paid.

Perodua had also given her the option to buy a second car with the same hire purchase terms as the first one.

Nagakanni said she would make a decision on the new offer in seven days.

Nagakanni's tale of woe began when she bought the Bezza on Oct 17 last year and it broke down eight hours later. She said in a Jan 2 Facebook post that Perodua had traced the fault to sugar contamination in the engine.
