First drive of second-gen Toyota Mirai FCEV
By THOMAS HUONG | 18 December 2022BURI RAM (Thailand): The media had a brief test drive of the all-electric Toyota Mirai, which is a fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) at this weekend's (Dec 16 to 18) Idemitsu 1500 Super Endurance race at the Chang International Circuit.
Acceleration is effortless, and the Mirai delivered sharp, responsive handling during a quick slalom course.
Two second-generation Mirai cars will undergo two-year tests in Pattaya and Rayong, to showcase Toyota's clean mobility solutions.
The second-generation Mirai has a third hydrogen fuel tank added, contributing to a 30% increase in the car’s driving range to 650km (compared with its predecessor).
