Ford Ranger sales edges up this year
By CARSIFU | 16 July 2019KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole local distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, reported its first-half of its Ranger sales performance which gained 1.7% to 17.2% compared to the same period last year in the pickup segment.
“The ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ranger continues to earn the favour of customers across the country and build on its growing success in the market,” said Ford Motor Company managing director Asia Pacific emerging markets Truong Kim Phong .
Ford Ranger was recently named ‘2019 Malaysia Pick-up Truck of the Year’ at the Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards.
“Ranger sales are growing steadily as it continues to attract a wide range of customers who are looking for a versatile vehicle that is suitable for both work and play,” said Sime Darby Auto ConneXion managing director Syed Ahmad Muzri Bin Syed Faiz.
“We’re confident that the Ford Ranger will continue to drive our momentum in Malaysia and we remain committed to continuously enhance our customer and ownership experience,” added Muzri.
