Grab introduces new postpaid payment method in Singapore
By THE STAR | 04 July 2019PETALING JAYA: Grab has introduced a new payment method where consumers can use the multi-service platform first and pay later.
The postpaid feature dubbed PayLater works for Grab rides, food deliveries and more.
According to the website, users need to activate the feature on the app, after which they would receive a pre-approved monthly PayLater amount. However, it is not specified on the website if it is the user or Grab who sets the amount.
Users can then select the feature as their preferred payment method. No extra charges occur for choosing this method.
At the end of the month, the expenditures will be consolidated into one bill that can be settled using the GrabPay balance.
Users will have seven days to settle their payment, and the website doesn’t state what will happen if users exceed their set amount or if they fail to settle the bill within the said period.
This service is available to users in Singapore, and there is no confirmation yet as to whether it will be extended to Malaysia.
