Jan 23-29: Fuel prices up again
By THE STAR | 22 January 2021PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will increase across the board from Jan 23 to Jan 29, says the Finance Ministry.
It said that RON97 petrol would be priced at RM2.20 per litre, up by one sen from RM2.19 per litre previously.
The price of RON95 will also increase by one sen from RM1.89 per litre to RM1.90 per litre, while the price of diesel will increase by four sen from RM2.05 per litre to RM2.09 per litre.
"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," the ministry said in a statement on Friday (Jan 22).
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5,2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism.
