JPJ announces product recalls from various car brands
By CARSIFU | 21 September 2023PETALING JAYA: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is issuing a recall of various models, according to an announcement by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
Among the models recalled are a selection of the 2021-23 C 200, E 200, EQS 450+, EQS 500 and the 2022-23 GLC 300.
The JPJ announcement also covered recalls of certain models from other makes that included Nissan, Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Honda Motorcycle and MAN Truck & Bus.
JPJ did not specify the nature of the potential defects that sparked the various brand recalls but urged owners of models affected to follow guidance from the car makers.
As is standard procedure in the industry, affected car owners will be contacted by the car makers to send in their vehicles for an inspection. If the affected parts are found to be faulty, they would be replaced and the costs would be borne by the car makers.
JPJ announces such recalls as and when it is informed by the car makers in the interest of public safety.
