Last BMW i8 painted in Portimao Blue
By CARSIFU | 16 June 2020LEIPZIG: This BMW i8 is the last one to toll off BMW's plant in Leipzig this week.
To mark the special occasion, BWM Individual painted the i8 Roadster in Portimao Blue. This unit is believed to be the only i8 to feature this colour.
The last 18 units were built to the requirements of the BMW i8 Club members.
The i8 and i3 started BMW's i sub-brand which led to many electrified innovations in the core BMW cars.
Production of the plug-in hybrid sportscar started in 2014 and 20,500 units have been built since then.
The end of production of the iconic i8 was supposed to be in April but had to be delayed until recently because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
