Lexus teases new 2024 GX
By CARSIFU | 12 May 2023BRUSSELS: Ahead of the 2024 Lexus GX's world premiere on June 9, the luxury automaker has released two preview images of its brand new off-roader.
The next-generation GX has a rugged new look, and the visuals show that the new luxury version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will be very different from its predecessor.
No other details were revealed, but lexusenthusiast.com said: "The headlight image shows a chunky exterior design in line with expectations, and the rear shot shows the now-standard Lexus type logo across the trunk deck."
The GX is expected to be motivated by a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 engine, the same engine taken from the bigger LX albeit detuned.
This means power and torque would be cut back from the 409hp and 650Nm seen in the LX600.
It's highly likely there would be a hybrid version but it's unclear at this point whether a diesel GX would be built.
