LG Innotek comes out with new automotive lighting

SEOUL: South Korea's LG Innotek has developed an automotive lighting product that it said is brighter and provides more uniform lighting.

"Nexlide-M", a flexible stereoscopic automotive lighting, is also said to improve design flexibility with its thin width.

It can be mounted on automobile lighting devices in various designs including daytime running lights (DRL) and rear combination lamps, which lump together tail lights, brake lights and turn signals.

LG Innotek said Nexlide-M emits clear light with fewer parts.

In addition, Nexlide-M is touted to be four times brighter than existing products in the market at 500 Candela, which is a unit to measure brightness.

According to Reports Insights, a global market research institute, a global automobile lighting market was estimated to be US$21.9 billion in 2022 and is predicted to reach US$32 billion by 2030.
