Maserati MC20 undergoing winter condition trials
By CARSIFU | 12 March 2021MODENA: Maserati's upcoming MC20 is undergoing a series of reliability tests under intensive cold weather.
The super sportscar has never previously been seen unleashing its power on low-grip surfaces.
The tests are conducted on the snow-covered roads of the Valtellina and also at the Ghiacciodromo Livigno (Sondrio), Italy’s most notable snow and ice circuit.
During the cold-weather mission, the MC20 was also tested to evaluate engine cold starting, the low-temperature performance of its elastic components and the car’s handling on cold and low-grip asphalt surfaces.
Its Climate Control System, battery, brakes and suspension system were also checked for tested.
Maserati said the extreme conditions have not stopped the MC20; in fact, they had enhanced the opposing personalities of this car, born from the brand’s racing DNA but designed for series production.
