Mercedes-Benz X-Class to live on in next Navara
By CARSIFU | 22 July 2020STUTTGART: Some technology from the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will live on in the next edition of the Nissan Navara pick-up in 2023 or 2024, according to online reports in Europe.
After less than three years on the market, the X-Class which shared underpinnings and powerplants with the Navara, was discontinued from end-May 2020 due to poor sales.
Mercedes engineers had differentiated the X-Class with a wider body and track which provides better handling, a different body and a much plusher cabin, more high-tech safety and driver assistance systems, and of course, much higher price tags.
The new reports in Europe suggest that some of the Mercedes engineering might make their way into the next-generation Navara, which is expected to share a lot of tech with the next Mitsubishi Triton.
