Ministry to tackle disposal issue of old, abandoned cars
By BERNAMA | 06 February 2021KUALA LUMPUR: A study will be conducted to strengthen the system of managing the disposal of abandoned cars and finding the best method for local authorities to do so.
In a statement on Friday, the Housing and Local Government Ministry said the study would involve five local authorities that included Kajang Municipal Council, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council and Klang Municipal Council.
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin also told local authorities to take strict and fast enforcement action on disposal of old cars, the statement said.
The issue of disposing old cars was raised by Zuraida during her visit to the Kajang council on Friday as part of her series of visits to local authorities.
