Mitsubishi Triton and Xpander drive 91% increase in sales
By CARSIFU | 06 January 2022KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia registered a stellar 2021, with 17,489 vehicles sold, a whopping 91% increase in sales as compared to the same period in 2020.
Mitsubishi sold 9,268 units of the Triton, which is a 34% increase in sales over 2020. It also sold 7,397 units of the Xpander last year.
Mitsubishi said the success of the Xpander made it the best-selling Japanese seven-seater crossover in Malaysia.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia CEO Shinya Ikeda said the company is now ramping up Xpander production to meet booking demands.
