Mitsubishi's US office lets workers work fully from home if they want to
By CARSIFU | 18 April 2022FRANKLIN (USA): One car maker has publicly announced a new work-from-home policy. But it's a Japanese manufacturer in faraway America.
Mitsubishi Motors North America last week said it would let employees, whose jobs allow it, to work from home with no required minimum number of days in the office.
This is a benefit more common among cutting-edge technology companies than automotive brands. This announcement comes as the company reports strong sales across the first quarter of 2022 and builds on its momentum as the fastest-growing, non-luxury brand in the industry.
"Our new work from home policy comes down to one thing: tremendous trust in our employee team," said recently appointed Mitsubishi Motors North America CEO Mark Chaffin.
The office remained open for those who wished to come in, providing they followed strict Covid-19 protocols.
