Naza Group gives RM1.25mil to Covid-19 fund
By CARSIFU | 30 March 2020KUALA LUMPUR: In a show of support towards nationwide efforts to tackle the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia, the Naza Group has donated RM1.25mil to the Government’s COVID-19 fund.
Naza Corporation Holdings group executive chairman and CEO SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin presented a cheque for the amount to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin this afternoon in Putrajaya.
“We hope the contribution by Naza Group will help alleviate the plight of those financially impacted by job disruptions and loss of earnings resulting from this global pandemic," said Nasarudin.
He also expressed gratitude to doctors, the police, the armed forces and other frontliners who are battling the viral scourge.
“The Naza Group will look at ways we can use our businesses to assist the Health Ministry further in managing this crisis. As Malaysians, we must come together to overcome this adversity."
