Policeman fined for using phone while driving

PETALING JAYA: A policeman seen on video using his mobile phone while driving, has been issued a summons.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said police detected the viral video at 8.28pm on Sunday.
"The video showed the policeman in a Proton Preve using his mobile phone while driving.
"He was seen heading towards Petaling Jaya. The video has since gone viral on social media," he said in a statement today.
The policeman has also been called up to assist with an investigation into the matter, he added.
"We also issued him with a summons for the offence," he said.
ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said the police would not compromise in taking action against any of its personnel or officer who has committed any offence.
