STUTTGART: The Porsche Cayenne is getting a new range-topper in the coming months, when the coupe version of the off-roader will hit the roads as a Turbo GT, with prices kicking off at US$180,800.
With a V8 engine, the Cayenne Turbo GT will have 640hp, instead of the previous 550hp. Maximum torque will also get a boost, from 770 to 850 Nm, leading to better driving performance.
The GT, available exclusively as a four-seater, hits a top speed of 300kph and needs only 3.3 seconds to go from 0 to 100kph, shaving off 0.6 seconds from the conventional Turbo.
On the inside, the Turbo GT is extensively kitted out in terms of equipment: All electronic aids available for the Cayenne come standard, just like the three-chamber air suspension, the rear-axle steering or the sports exhaust. There is also a new rear spoiler.
