Proton Exora refreshed from RM62,800


SUBANG JAYA: Proton has updated its long-standing Exora multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with new exterior and interior touches.

In Peninsular Malaysia, the Exora 1.6T Executive CVT comes with on-the-road without insurance price of RM62,800, while the Exora 1.6T Premium CVT is priced at RM69,800.

In Sabah and Sarawak, prices for the Executive and Premium are RM65,300 and RM72,300 respectively.

The new Exora comes with new Proton logo on the grille and tailgate, LED daytime running lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels in dual tone finishing, side skirtings, rear spoiler and a black roof with black rear garnish.

Inside, the seven-seater gets full leatherette seats, a leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel, armrests for the front seats, individual air-conditioning vents with N95 Cabin Filter for all rows.

The infotainment system features a seven-inch touchscreen monitor with the “Hi PROTON” Voice Command that features online navigation, music streaming, weather forecast, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Also available are smartphone connectivity to mirror link with Android devices and two USB ports for recharging electronic devices.

Powering the Exora is the familiar 1.6-litre turbocharged engine delivering 140PS and 205Nm mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Safety features include two front SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

The Exora comes in Snow White, Indiana Grey, Rosewood Maroon, Ruby Red and Cocoa Grey.

At the vehicle's launch in Proton KEB Auto Sdn Bhd in TTDI Kajang, Selangor, Proton Deputy Chief Executive Officer Roslan Abdullah said the Exora is Malaysia’s first home-grown MPV and was designed and built with Malaysia’s rakyat in mind.

“With this latest update, we took a class-leading product and made it even better for drivers and passengers alike, across a variety of applications, by reinforcing its proposition of power, space, and value.

“With more than 180,000 units sold over 13 years, the Exora is Malaysia’s best-selling C-Segment MPV and to this day retains that position,” he said.
